Discuss the idea. Respect the person.

Disagreement is welcome. Harassment, threats, hate and targeted abuse are not. Explain why you disagree without attacking someone’s identity, experience or circumstances. Do not organise others to target a person or community.

Share the context that helps

Keep discussions relevant to the community. For vehicle questions, include the model, year, market and relevant symptoms when you know them. Separate what you have experienced from what you suspect. Link to useful sources and correct errors when you find them.

Protect people’s privacy

Do not publish private contact details, addresses, private messages or identifying information without permission. Check photos for number plates, documents and precise locations before uploading. Share only content you have permission to share.

Be clear about your interests

Disclose relevant business, employment, sponsorship and affiliate relationships. Do not impersonate an owner, manufacturer, dealer or another member. No scams, misleading promotions or repetitive spam.

Let participation be real

Vote on the contribution. Do not use multiple accounts, purchased activity or coordinated campaigns to manipulate scores. Do not evade a ban or encourage others to disrupt a discussion.

Take safety seriously

Do not encourage dangerous driving, harm or unlawful activity. Make the limits of your advice clear. If a problem may affect safe operation, encourage inspection by a qualified professional rather than presenting a comment or AI summary as a diagnosis.

Help moderators keep things useful

Each community may add rules for its own topic. Read those rules before contributing. Use Report in a post or comment’s options menu when something needs review, and include the reason.
